I always really struggled in math, throughout my K-12 education. My mind still gets fuzzy even now when confronted with too many numbers. But, in a way, my weakness has been a blessing because it inspired me to make up songs, rhymes, and other tricks to help my elementary school students who may be struggling like I did.
